He has repeatedly advanced deep technology from lab to commercial success, including as CEO of JenaBatteries GmbH, where pilots led to an independent IPR valuation of €238 million and an eventual acquisition. He built and scaled the HySA/Catalysis Competence Centre in South Africa and drove catalyst development at Engelhard (now BASF) and Pajarito Powder. Anthony began as a mechanical engineer prototyping systems that convert waste biomass into agricultural and steelmaking products, with early-stage impact at Charm Industrial and Applied Carbon (2025 XPRIZE finalist). He moved into energy storage in 2024 by bootstrapping BioCharge, a startup converting plant carbon into graphite. At Halo he helps lead business development and R&D. Eric is a recognized expert in designing complex fluid and reaction systems, with a decade delivering results across government labs (Sandia, Los Alamos) and pioneering startups. He coordinated the technology transfer of a novel lithium-sulfur flow battery from Sandia to GridFlow and led engineering for automated continuous-flow biomanufacturing at Nature's Toolbox.
